The one millionth Ford Capri was an RS2600, and was built in August 1973. This Capri was never officially sold in the UK, although a few have now been imported. The RS2600 had been introduced to Ford Motorsport in 1971 and lead to Dieter Glemser taking the ETC Drivers Championship. 1972 was equally successful, but in 1973 the BWM CSL was the more competent car.

3532 RS2600's were produced in total.
