The Cameo and Tempo were released in July 1981 as the very bottom of the range budget Capris. Available in "L" trim only and based on the 1300 or 1600 but they had no side mouldings or centre console (the 1300L above does have its side mouldings). They retailed for £3995, which compares favourably with the £7995 required for a 2.8 injection which went on sale a month before.
